Membership
-The Unlimited regular, student & off peak membership gives access to the fitness, eGym & cardio room and to classes at any FemmeGym location. The off peak membership has limited access times; from opening to 16:00. weekends 12:00 to 16:00.
-The Essential membership gives exclusive access to the fitness, eGym & cardio area at any FemmeGym location.
-Each membership by direct debit starts on the 1st of the month. If you become a member during the current month, the monthly fee will be charged pro rata, after which membership starts on the first of the following month. A membership has a minimum duration of 1, 3, 6, 12 or 24 months, depending on the type of membership chosen. After the minimum chosen duration, membership continues automatically per month.
-Should the 24-month membership be terminated within the minimum term of 24 months, the monthly discount (compared to a 12-month membership) will lapse with retroactive effect from the start of the membership until the end of the membership. This means that the discount has to be refunded in case of early termination. For this arrangement, one must have been a member for at least 12 months.
- Termination of any membership paid by direct debit must be done in writing, by completing the cancellation form (femmegym.co.uk/subscribe).
- If we have processed your cancellation, you will receive a confirmation e-mail. This e-mail is binding.
-Cancellation must be made no later than 1 calendar month before the end of the minimum chosen term of membership. If not cancelled in writing in time, the membership will be extended each time with a minimum of 1 month and can be cancelled each month from then on.
- If you have chosen a membership by prepayment of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months, the membership will automatically terminate after the chosen duration. Membership cannot be cancelled prematurely
- The package deal of 3 session or classes has a validity of up to 6 weeks and expires automatically after 6 weeks.
- The package deal of 10 session or classes has a validity of up to 6 months and expires automatically after 6 months.
- All our memberships are personalised. By mutual agreement, 12-month and 24-month memberships can be transferred once per contract period to a new member. The current member is responsible for proposing the new member. A new member is someone who is not yet a member of FemmeGym. The new member takes over the contract, provided there are at least 6 contract months left to go, and bears full financial responsibility for a hassle-free payment of the membership fee from takeover. The new member is not obliged to pay the start-up fee.
Reservations and credits
- You get 1 credit every 12 weeks for making a functional fitness schedule appointment with an Unlimited membership.
- You get 1 credit for making an appointment for a functional fitness schedule with an Essential membership.
- You get 1 credit every 12 weeks for making an appointment for eGym guidance with an Unlimited membership.
- You get 1 credit for making an appointment for eGym guidance with an Essential membership.
- You get 1 credit every 12 weeks for making a health check appointment with an Unlimited membership.
- You get 1 credit for making a health check appointment with an Essential membership.
- Reservations for health checks, functional fitness schedules and eGym guidance can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance. This can be done at the counter, by phone or by e-mail. If you cancel a class reservation too late or not at all, the credit will expire and you cannot book a new appointment until you receive a new credit.
-You get 4 lesson credits per week with an Unlimited membership, with these you can book lessons. One lesson is1credit. Run out of credits? No problem, just call from one hour before class starts. If there is room, we will reserve a spot for you.
-You may cancel lessons free of charge up to 2 hours before the start. If you cancel less than 2 hours before the start, you will not receive a refund of the lesson credit from the booking.
If you cancel less than 1 hour before the start or a no show, you will not get the lesson credit of the booking back and we will charge a fine of €4.50. The fines will be donated to charity.
-You must be present no later than 5 minutes before the class starts. If you are not, you run the risk of us giving your ticket away to someone else.
- Failure to honour a booking for any of the services we do not offer free of charge will result in the appointment being cancelled and cannot be made up.
Contribution
- For direct debit, a hassle-free payment of the membership fee must be ensured. If it is not possible for us to collect the monthly contribution, we reserve the right to charge a reversal fee.
Moreover, there is no access to our facilities until payment is made. If payment is not made, we will hand over the process to a collection agency and it is a possibility that membership fees for the entire year may be claimed.
- If an amount other than the agreed amount is debited, you can reclaim it within 30 days.
Suspending membership
- A membership can only be suspended due to: illness, pregnancy or accident. On presentation of a medical certificate, you can request a suspension request via the suspension form (femmegym.co.uk/suspend).
suspension is possible from a minimum of 2 weeks. In the case of student membership, suspension is also possible in the event of a long-term internship (2 months or longer) abroad. It is not possible to suspend membership retroactively. When suspending, the membership is extended for the same period if the chosen minimum duration has not yet expired.
Changes
- Mutations (requests for changes in membership) must be requested in writing at the front desk no later than the 15th of the month if the mutation is to take effect the following calendar month.
Personal member card
- FemmeGym uses and digital membercard through FemmeGym app.
Without a member card, there is no access to the activities and facility.
Accountability
- The management is not liable for theft, loss or accidents within FemmeGym.
- The minimum age is 18 years.
- Members are responsible for consulting a GP themselves.
- New members without training experience are advised to make an appointment with the fitness instructor. It depends on the type of membership whether there is a charge for this. This appointment must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance, otherwise charges will apply.
Rules of conduct
- FemmeGym has the right to refuse access to those who are guilty of misconduct, fail to observe the house rules or bring the gym's name into disrepute. Misconduct includes extreme or challenging clothing, indecent/aggressive language, discrimination, polluting the accommodation and/or surroundings.
- Members should behave properly towards staff and other members within FemmeGym. Instructions from staff should be followed immediately.
- FemmeGym reserves the right, in case of violation of the above, to impose sanctions on or unilaterally expel the member, without any right to a refund of membership fees already paid.
Hygiene
- For reasons of hygiene, everyone must wear clean sportswear and shoes in the sports areas and the use of a towel is compulsory. Changing clothes is only allowed in the changing rooms.
Before using the sauna, one should shower first and the use of a towel in the sauna is also compulsory. Clothing and undergarments are not allowed in the sauna.
Refreshments
- FemmeGym offers all kinds of tasty refreshments. These can be obtained via bar balance, among other things. This is an amount starting from €5 which is deposited on the membercard. The amount will not be refunded after membership termination and cannot be withdrawn in cash.
Changes
- FemmeGym reserves the right to limit the number of subscribers and to change opening hours, class schedule, the number of credits, limit the number of participants per class and rates.
- FemmeGym reserves the right to amend the regulations. Any amendment will cause the previous regulations to lapse.
- FemmeGym reserves the right to make price changes besides reasons related to changed VAT rates and inflation correction. FemmeGym will indicate at least one month before the start of the training by which amount the monthly membership fee will be increased and when. If the change concerns reasons other than changed VAT rates and inflation correction, the membership may be cancelled at the start of the increase.
